CLASS EXPECTATIONS

  1. Be in class every day
  1. Do not get up out of your seat without permission
  1. You will have a textbook available to take home and one for use in the classroom. Please Do Not take the class room text out of the classroom. The more you read in the text, the better you will do in this class!
  1. Many written assignments will be completed in class. If you are absent from class you should arrange to have someone pick up your assignment for you. On the day that you return to class you may obtain a copy of the assignment and complete it at home to be turned in the next day. Work missed as a result of an absence may be made up in a timely manner without penalty.  Late work is accepted with a points penalty and sometimes will require an alternative assignment.
  1. Test days are posted well in advance of the test. If you are absent on the day of a test, you will be required to take the test on the day that you return to school.
  2. Grading: Grades are calculated as follows: Homework grades (graded for completion) are worth 30%. Daily grades (graded for accuracy) are worth 30%. Test grades are worth 40%.
  3. Admit Forms: No one will be allowed to return to class after an absence without an admit form. It is YOUR responsibility to obtain an admit form from your 1st block teacher (if you were absent the entire day) or from the front office (if you checked out early or signed in late). If you must leave class to obtain an admit form you will be counted “tardy” for this class.
